Pump, filter, heater and salt-system repair across Memorial and the Memorial Villages — including Piney Point Village, Spring Valley Village and Sherwood Forest. Licensed, insured, and working out of northwest Houston.
Pool repair in Memorial is mostly equipment work on established backyards: the pumps, filters, heaters and salt systems that keep pools in some of Houston's most heavily wooded neighborhoods running. Redzone Pools is a family-owned, licensed and insured crew based in northwest Houston, and we cover Memorial, Piney Point Village, Spring Valley Village and Sherwood Forest.
This part of west Houston has its own character. Memorial runs along Buffalo Bayou west of downtown, with the six independent cities of the Memorial Villages to its east — Piney Point Village and Spring Valley Village among them, both incorporated in the mid-1950s. Sherwood Forest, off Memorial Drive in 77024, was platted from a family's wooded summer retreat and subdivided in 1945. What they share is large lots under mature trees, and that shapes almost every service call we make here.
Everything a Memorial-area pool needs, from a quick diagnosis to a full equipment-pad repair:
Pumps, motors and full equipment-pad repair — the equipment that carries the heaviest debris load on a wooded lot.
Gas and heat-pump heater diagnosis, repair and replacement for pools and attached spas.
Salt cell cleaning and replacement plus chlorine-generator diagnostics for saltwater pools.
LED lighting and smart automation so the whole backyard runs from your phone.
Calcium scale and staining lifted off tile, stone and rock features — without replacing them.
Pre-purchase inspections for buyers and realtors, with a written report before you close.
A pool under a mature canopy takes in far more leaves, twigs and fine debris than one in an open backyard, and all of it ends up in the same place: the skimmer and pump baskets, then the filter. That's where the trouble starts.
None of that is exotic, but on a heavily wooded lot it arrives on a faster schedule. Emptying baskets often and keeping the filter clean does more for equipment here than anything else an owner can do.
Memorial sits along Buffalo Bayou, downstream of the Addicks and Barker reservoirs. During Hurricane Harvey in 2017, releases from those reservoirs sent water down the bayou and flooded homes along its banks — which is why an equipment pad on low ground here deserves a plan before storm season rather than after.
Two guides cover it: what to do to your pool before a hurricane, and, if water has already reached the pad, what to do when the equipment has been underwater — including the one thing not to do, which is switch it back on to see if it works.

Yes. Sherwood Forest, off Memorial Drive in 77024, is within our Memorial-area coverage. Its large, heavily wooded lots mean baskets and filters load up quickly, so a lot of our work there is keeping flow up for the pump, heater and salt system.
Tree cover. Leaves and fine debris from a mature canopy collect in the skimmer and pump baskets and then in the filter, which cuts flow. Low flow is what makes a heater shut down on its pressure switch and a salt system show No Flow with the pump running. Emptying baskets often and cleaning the filter on schedule prevents most of it; a filter that no longer holds a normal pressure after cleaning needs repair.
